Empowering Survivors: Supporting Utah C.O.P.S. in Rebuilding Lives

Utah Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) is a non-profit organization that provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. The organization was founded in 1984 and has been providing support and resources to families of fallen officers ever since.

Registration for the 8th Annual Fallen Officers Memorial 5k Run/Walk, which will be held on September 9, 2023 - is now open. This event is an opportunity to come together and honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The Fallen Officers Memorial 5k Run/Walk is a way to show support for the families of fallen officers and to raise awareness about the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers.

The Utah Law Enforcement Memorial, located on the west lawn of the Utah State Capitol, honors the 147 Utah Peace Officers who were killed in the line of duty. The annual memorial allows Utahns to honor and reflect on those police officers, sheriff's deputies, and state troopers who have fallen in the line of duty since our state’s founding. The memorial features plaques that pay tribute to law enforcement officers that have lost their lives, dating back to 1853.

Supporting an organization like Utah C.O.P.S. is important because it helps provide resources and support to families of fallen officers. The Fallen Officers Memorial 5k Run/Walk is a way to show support for these families and to raise awareness about the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers. By participating in this event, you can help make a difference in the lives of these families and honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
